There are gorgeous shrines in front of all the shops in Ao Luk, as well as little birds in pretty cages, whistling and chirping away. But the shrines - so many beautiful colours, blue red and gold. I've seen offerings of pineapples, bananas, fanta, water, and gummi bears (though to be honest that was our offering in Krabi).
On the main street there was a shop selling hundred of shrines on plinths. I so want one for the little yellow house in the u...but I'm not sure I can cram one into my suitcase.
