Zonkee

These might be zones just without the stripes. What's a zonkee? It's a cross between a zebra and a donkey.

Y is for

Yoga

Funny story about yoga. When I came to visit your Mum and Dad I hopped off the plane and they announced my first outing would be partnering your Mum at pregnancy yoga. Let's just say it was pretty hands on.

X is for

Xmas

Sorry. I know this one is a bit confusing but there aren't many 'x' words. Truth be told I don't really like spelling Christmas this way.

W is for

Wilco

Wilco is the name your parents gave you before you were born. Whenever they would talk about you they would use that name, even after they had decided on your forever name of Esther. You'll get to understand why you were Wilco ( Wilco is like your Dad's Bruce - see 'b is for' card).

V is for

Vapour trails

I know, I know - this is a really hard one but I love vapour trails. Sometimes when I see these lines in the sky I stop to make a wish.

U is for

Umbrella 

There is a song that comes into my head every time I hear this word. Umbrella - ella ella, ay ay ay.

T is for

Truck

When you drive throughout th country in Jordan, you see lots of trucks. Sometimes your Dad yells at them. You might have heard that while inside your Mums tummy. She sometimes yelled back.

S is for

Stars 

Do you know it doesn't matter where you are in the world…we can all see the same stars  

R is for

Rainbow

This rainbow was at my house. Do you have rainbows in Jordan?

Q is for

Queen 

Both jordan and Australia have queens, but the queen in Jordan seems a bit nicer.

P is for

Pony

There were lots of ponies in Petra. Pretty ones with bright coloured blankets and embroidered hearts.

O is for

Orange

No reason, it just is (plus there are not to many 'o' words)

N is for

New York

You went to New York before you were even born. True story.

M is for

Moustache 

Your Mum and I met these lovely men one day when I was visiting Amman. We bought cake and they posed for a photo.

L is for

Love

Lots of people love you! That will never change.

K is for

Karin 

That's me! One day we will meet in person, but in the meantime you can get to know more about me this way. If you could learn to say 'Karin is awesome' that wouldn't be inaccurate. Barney is in the photo too. Remember him from 'd is for dog'?

J is for

Jordan 

Jordan is where you are born, but not really where you are from. It's good to be born and from two different places.

I is for

India

So there is a bit of your Dad that is Indian and that means a bit of you is Indian too. Learn how to make pickles please.

H is for

Hearts 

Your Dad sometimes looks at my paintings and says 'no another heart'! but I've always painted hearts, even at art school. I did a series of big lithograph hearts and the lecturer said that they reminded him of Jim Dine. Jim Dine is a famous American pop artist, who as it turns out, did love hearts too. Maybe look that up when you are older.

G is for

Gelati

So gelati is a kind of like another name for ice-cream. There was a time when I visited your Mum and Dad in Jordan before you were born - actually right just before you were born! I declared we should eat ice-cream every day….then I got sick and everyone had gelati and your Mum bought me a banana. I nearly cried.
