From the jet plane

The other morning I was in the sky, thinking a little too much about all the bad things, and I looked out the window and wrote in my travel diary.

'Deep blues mixed with turquoise. There are peninsulars thick with jungle and small sandy we are in the clouds.

I love the view from planes. Even the most chaotic countries appear grid like and orderly from the air.

Now all I see is sun and tiny islands and I can't even see where the horizon gives way to the sea - as they both blur into one.'
