Like a bad episode of the good life

Do you know how hard it is to get four chickens into a chicken coup? Hard for us city slickers...well two ex city slickers and me. One of the ex city slickers even talked about what will happen to the hens once they finish laying. I'd prefer to think of them just hanging around and dying of old age eventually. Sure you will probably end up with 24 chickens if you want to have a continual set of laying hens, but the yards big enough!

  1. Can I just tell you that those beautiful girls are now bossily following me (and only me I might add) around the garden when ever I am there. Maybe they associate me in the same way I look at them - food?
Drumstick (the lame one) is also a bit of a bully. Not sure how to discipline a chook though.
They also now put themselves to bed with just a few words of encouragement. Drumstick demands to be picked up and placed in the coop. Think she is taking the disability thing a little too far! xx

  2. Ha ha - my how things have changed. Didn't take them long to settle in! Turns out you are quite the chicken whisperer.
