Throughout my journeys in the wild South American tundra in my role of Australian-Girl-in-South-America-Camelid-Research-Officer-Dr-Verity-I-Presume I observed that the Alpaca was kind of more fluffy and bulbous looking.

So, by what you are saying in your account above these are definitely giraffes
ReplyDeleteAt least they aren't miniature shetlands. Then things would get really confusing.
ReplyDeleteI went to Australia Zoo a couple of weeks ago and a very enthusiastic zoo-person taught me how to tell the difference between an alpaca and a llama. At the time, it was obvious. Now, I have no effing idea!!
