48 hours in Beijing, what I did and how I did it

I should have known I would like this city when I turned up to blue skies and vapour trails.  And while I didn't see much I did see some people that I like, some cocktail bars, and lots of people walking poodles. Oh, and beautiful tree lined streets, accidental hipsters, cherries sold on the side of the road and bicycles.

Great pizza and beer at the Great Leap Brewing:

Interesting cocktails at Hidden House (smokey coffee martini anyone?). Then more cocktails (and less inventive and hidden) at Miles - described as an industrial speak easy which kind of works. Next time...maybe some sights? Definitely some sights, bike riding and more poodles.
