Cambodia - dog set

Bus ride from Siem Reap

Angkor Wat

Just remember, we all like to edit out our travel photos to make them a little more like we would want the experience to be. I've included some of the crowds here because it wasn't the most tranquil experience you'd hope for - but really, what would you expect? I did find some quite time in the odd corner and around the beautiful shrines which nobody seemed to care for, except me.

China - week 13

This week in China has been sponsored by Cambodia. So not really a week in China but still some observations and thoughts.

A smart person who knows about these things, suggested I plan a holiday out of China within the first three months.  Turns out he was right. While I didn't feel that I needed the break, I have very much relaxed this week, while thinking some big thoughts about recent trials and tribulations of all things Karin.  Beyond all of that I have drunk some amazing cocktails, spent most days swimming, got a little sunburnt, explored temples, read a book, got a few itchy bites, (and again) bought way too many breakable objects - pretty much everything you'd want out of a holiday. All of this on my doorstep, just a few hours flight away - something that would be good for me to remember.

And in a day I head *home*. It will be interesting to see how I feel about that. I think I'll feel alright.

Wrong country to forget the gold pen....

But I packed four silver pens....if you have ever been to South East Asia, you will understand what a failure this is.

Fanging around Siem Reap on a bicycle

Just don't leave me in charge of holding the map.

Road to Siem Reap

Travelling up the National Highway, for 6 long hours. Bumpy road, time spent with lots of daydreaming and Evan Dando's beautiful voice for company.
