Playtime isn’t
long but this song seems to be on an eternal loop. How many ways can you say Reykjavik ? Masha has at least 15 different
variations. MTV had just started
and their playlist was really short.
Everything was on high rotation. Reykjavik melded into Masha’s Lyubachka, then
Rammstein, The Cardigans and Placebo.
We would sit looking at the cold outside, with time to hear them all
again and again. Everything was
possible.
I’ve never
heard the song played since but it has stayed with me. It brings me back to that time. And it’s really hard to find on youtube.
