Promo - Portraits From Prime Time

This is on at the National Portrait Gallery. It is one of the worst exhibitions I have ever been to. Like being trapped in a giant TV week - condescending and kinda embarrassing.  The only positive I can think of to say, is that the exhibition leads into the National Photographic Portrait Prize, which by comparison seems genius. Go see it if you really, really, really like Hamish Blake.

Travel wall - Jordan

So I took the old paintings down and have decided to rotate holiday photos for a while. First up is Jordan - so much has happened since that trip and it was only a few months ago. New babies, new jobs, new opportunities, new stuff.

As I hung the photos I thought about my friends all the way in Amman and particularly how this hanging of pictures all crooked and unplanned would make one person very very nervous. But I don't mind that they are a bit off kilter and so what if there are now lots of holes in the wall (extra ones you can't see where I judged the spots wrong)? To have those memories there before I go to sleep I'm reminded of happiness that I hope will flow into my dreams.

Enlighten - National Portrait Gallery (part 2)

It was so much fun walking around the buildings in the crisp autumn air. Their were toddlers, puppy dogs, and couples taking in the view. I was there with Frank. It was the first time in a long time that I wished I had a boyfriend. The end.
