Sitting in Guangzhou, watching the AFL in Sydney whilst simultaneously chatting with three friends on three different locations in Australia. A video call to the Labor Club in Canberra sees us chatting just like I was there.
Wine gifted to me from my brother and sister in law, drunk out of glasses given to me by good friends who hated drinking from my small etched glasses. Cheese on a board that was purchased when visiting friends in Manila, followed by dinner cooked in a clay pot given to me by family a long long time ago.
Sometimes it's horrible when you feel far away from everyone, but it's wonderful when you notice that your everyday is surrounded by bits and pieces of those you love.
