James Turrell Retrospective

Last week I went to the James Turrell retrospective currently showing at the NGA.  I love Turrell's work and often visit his 'Within without' Skyspace here in Canberra. It's breathtaking. 

And the retrospective? Just beautiful. Turrell's incredible exploration of light is just magical and the printmaker in me was jealous of the delicate etchings and aquatints. Steady clean lines and shadows printed on large plates of perfection. Just a delight this exhibition. I think I'll go back.
