I've just realised what the Kingston Foreshore reminds me of. Foreshore, with its fluorescent singlets and try hard attitude. But regardless, I'm going to give it my all. I have to - its in cycle distance from this little yellow house.
While Remedy is nothing like the North-side Roasters, there is no buzz, no people watching, no hipsters. Just two girls, a garbage truck and some top notch coffee.

So much of Canberra is so different; so much just the same no doubt. But the bits that are the same are in the 70's suburbs in Belco I fear.. My inner north is craycray, the Canberra Centre BondiJunctioned and lord knows I do not understand "new" Acton, or this penchant for earnestly-on-point coffee places.
ReplyDeleteAlthough am sure coffee is always good.. And lord knows when I last lived in Canberra the best coffee was from a cafe that microwaved it's bacon..
Also, I do not understand why this Kingston Foreshore coffee place has a garbage truck? Does that not smell?
No garbage truck long gone now just great coffe
DeleteCanberra has changed even from 2 years ago. Earnest is a good way to describe it. A different world from your days here!
ReplyDeleteWowser - microwaved bacon - someone is now going to read your comment and bring that back!
PS The garbage truck came at an inopportune time - I was taking poetic license :)
