Guangzhou has a light festival, just like Enlighten in Canberra. Virtually the same give or take a couple of drones and about half a million people.

Hi Sue, I'm glad you are enjoying the blog! I haven't seen anything about the light show this year either. Last year there were lots of banners along the river front advertising it, and once it started I couldn't miss it... If I see anything I'll update this comment. Hope you are enjoying your time in G to the Z!
