One of my favourite things is to fang around a city on a bike, so this afternoon in Barcelona was the absolute funnest afternoon of the trip (it also helped that we had just eaten at Quimet & Quimet so I was in a food / cava euphoria). It also helped that my Barcelona Bike Gang member was such a renegade she took the bike up escalators rather than climbing the hills. Kudos to that!
But there were hills without escalators, great views, beautiful buildings and an olympic stadium to boot. Oh and just a little example of Mies van der Rohe architecture. Then we stopped for some well deserved aperol spritzes at Bar Seco Passeig de Montjuic, 74. Even if you don't ride a bike go to this bar for it's great drinks and even better people watching. The bar has full windows at street level. Great for watching all the people walking their little (and big) dogs.
