I've never particularly liked this sculpture by Neil Dawson, though it makes for quite the statement as you approach the National Gallery. Whether it appeals to your aesthetics or not, it would have been a hell of a thing to construct and get up there. Actually, the more I look at the detail of this the more I like it. The reflection of the clouds were lost on me in real life and while the lines bother me, the shadow they casts on a sunny Canberra winters day makes an interesting contrast against the concrete facade.

Diamonds - NGA
