This beautiful show of geraniums is even more work than you think. Every year Frau Niedersayer takes clippings of her favourites just at the end of summer. She nurtures them through Autumn and in Winter takes them inside away from the snow. In Spring she puts new soil in the planter boxes and starts all over again. She's already got next years going - I'm not one to give a lady's age away, but this is not bad going for someone in their eighties!
