Wishbone - Shanghai

What's a gal to do when she is craving a home cooked meal in a big asian city? Head to Wishbone. Tiny dining room, great street views for the single diner and even better cocktails. And the chicken? Perfection on a vintage willow style plate.

888 Lane, Changde Lu, near Changping Lu, Shanghai. Just keep on walking down the main road - you'll find it.

China - week 17

It's official. I'm a badminton player. That's what week 17 has brought to me. That and a trip to Shanghai, this cracking vapour trail, followed by a visit from a friend (and she's still here!) and a weekend away in Macau (more on that later...I'm still catching up from Shanghai).

China - week 16

This week I discovered:

A whole new world on the other side of the big road near work.
That badminton is not like tennis at all but is still so much fun.
That going to ikea on a Thursday night and loading up like a pack horse makes you vulnerable to dodgy taxi drivers.
That actually kneading your pizza dough properly is worth it.
That flight delays are just part of living here.
